Demo And Installation Instructions
Joomla’s extensions are installed through Joomla’s administration section. Once you’ve logged in, you can install a new module by clicking on the Extensions menu and selecting Extension Manager. On that page, use the "Upload Package File" section to select the module zip file, mod_vm_paypal.zip. Upload the file and Joomla should install it for you.
Once the module has been installed, you can create a new instance of the module by clicking on Extensions->Module Manager and clicking on the yellowish "New" button. A pop-up dialogue will appear and you'll need to click on the module type titled "VM PayPal Module".
You'll need to name your module in the Details box on the left hand side as well as select a module position for it to appear in. On right side, in the panel marked PayPal Settings, you'll need to enter in your PayPal email address and customize the remaining options according to your needs. If, at any time, you’re not sure what a setting does, just hover over the setting text and a tooltip will appear that explains it. When you’re to begin accepting transactions, be sure to make sure that the “Checkout Status” field is in Live Mode.
In the Module Settings panel, you can enter in custom directions or additional product details about the purchase. You can use HTML, but you’ll need to escape any double quotation marks with a backslash before it.
The Checkout Settings panel allows you to set all of the information about the transaction, including price, currency, tax, shipping, and what information you collect from the customer. You can also set certain form options like the purchase button and the URLs to which the customer should be returned when the transaction is completed or cancelled.
If you want to enter additional information about the product including the name, item number, and quantity, you can do that in the Product Settings panel.
Under the CSS Settings panel, you can customize your CSS options, if you need to use something other than the defaults. If you don’t want to touch the CSS, just leave the defaults enabled.
Once you've filled in all your options, make sure you hit save. If you need to access the module later on to edit it, you can find it by clicking Extensions->Module Manager, and look for the module name you entered in the table on that page.
