A name says a lot about who you are, what you do, and where you want to go. We’re a small web company based in Langley, British Columbia, just outside Vancouver. Though we’re just starting out, we have big dreams and we’d love for you to be a part of them. We want Virtuosi Media to be remembered as a trusted and reliable friend that you can count on to deliver excellence every time.
About the Name

"Virtuosi" (pronounced vert-you-oh-see) is the plural for "virtuoso", which means:
- a person who has special knowledge or skill in a field.
- a person who excels in musical technique or execution.
- a person who has a cultivated appreciation of artistic excellence, as a connoisseur or collector of objects of art, antiques, etc.
- a person who has special interest or knowledge in the arts and sciences; scientist; scholar.
We chose Virtuosi because we want to create a company of people that are exceedingly excellent at what they do. Virtuosi also brings to mind the words 'virtuous' and 'virtual', two words that we hope are equally fitting. It's meant to be a goal to aspire to and to serve as an honest reality check: is this work excellent? The name seemed perfect for what we wanted to do and what we wanted to become.
The Media part of our name describes what we do, but it’s also our passion. The internet is an incredible medium because it allows for so many varied means of communication and expression all at once. We love almost every aspect of media creation: the design, the copy, the technical details, even the testing and marketing.
About Our Work
Beautiful and functional art is our goal with everything we create, but it needs to be both beautiful and functional or we’re not satisfied. Art for the sake of art is not enough and function can fail spectacularly without form. If we put our name on it, it needs to be excellent.

We’re very methodical in our approach to development because we want to do things the right way. We take extra care to quantify goals and then constantly test against them so that we can improve our products and services. If it can be measured, it can be improved.
Our current services are designed around this concept because we want to present real value to our clients and users. Our web design begins with best practices and industry standards, but we want to work with our clients through a consulting relationship to continually improve that design over time so that their business goals are met with more efficiency and in greater quantity.
Use Us as a Resource
We know your time is a valuable asset, and so we’re very direct (though we like to think that we’re also friendly and have a great sense of humor). There is a lot to know about running a website and there are so many competing and contradictory voices that the noise can sometimes be deafening. We want to simplify that learning process for our visitors and so we decided to provide a set of high quality resources.
If you want to know more about the specifics running an online business, our articles section is the perfect place to start. We cover topics about every aspect of online business including usability, conversion, marketing, social media, advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), client relations, business planning, and finance.
The other side to running a website is the technical aspect and that’s where our tutorials section comes into play. Not everyone has the luxury of having a formal education in programming, web development, or design and so we felt that offering a series of tutorials about technical topics would be extremely helpful. In the future, we will also be offering programming tools and scripts to aid development.

We have several commercial and open source products that will help build and maintain websites lined up and there are bigger projects planned for the future.
